From July 26, 2023 onwards, TOEFL iBT® test takers will encounter a range of exciting improvements. Notably, the test duration will be reduced to under 2 hours, making it the briefest among the top three widely recognized English-language tests. Test takers can look forward to the following enhancements:

1.       Streamlined instructions and navigation for a smoother test experience.

2.       A condensed Reading section featuring only two reading passages, each accompanied by 10 questions.

3.       A more concise and contemporary Writing task that replaces the existing Independent Writing task.

4.       Elimination of all unscored test questions.

The new TOEFL IBT Exam Structure  applicable from July 26, 2023.
